How to configure security event logs in a device using profile

This section explains how to configure a file path to collect security event logs in a system.The logs will be collected with the IP address of your system.

NOTE:
To get the Security event logs of an endpoint, install the Comodo Client - Security (Windows) version 10.1.0.6461

STEP[1]: Please select profile associated with device or group which requires logging.
For Example: "Optimum Windows Profile for ITSM 6.10" is associated with device DESKTOP-175E2UI

Step[2]: In Optimum Windows Profile for Endpoint Manager 6.10---->click Logging Settings tab--->Click "edit"
         1.)Get logs in Syslog server 
              To get logs in Syslog server please follow below mentioned steps,
                a)Click 'Write to syslog server' checkbox to enable host and port option 
                b)In the "Host" & "Port" option give the host and port of your endpoint where you want to store the logs.
                c)Click "save" button.      
                  For Example:host-->10.108.57.155                                                    
                  For Example:port--->514

 

2.)Get logs in remote server(JSON format)
             To get logs in remote server please follow below mentioned steps,
              a.)Click 'Write to  remote server' checkbox to enable "host","port" and "Token" option
              b.)In the "Host","Port" & "Token" option give the host and port of your endpoint where you want to store the logs.
              c.)Click "save" button.     
                    For Example:host-->10.108.57.155                                                    
                    For Example:port--->514
 

   

       

  3.)Get logs in endpoint (CEF format)
            To get logs in endpoint please follow below mentioned steps,
             a.)Click 'Write to log file' checkbox --->In the "Path" option give the path of your text file where you want to store the logs
             b.)Click "save" button.


           To get event logs in various system use the text file path which is commonly available in all system
            For example, file path: "C:\logs.txt" created in two devices.

         Note: Please ensure that you have text file path already available in the systems. If not please create the file "C:\logs.txt " in all the devices that you would like to have logs.
         
         Each system will contain their own collected logs in the given path file. The logs contain security events of the system and the IP address of it collected by Comodo Client - Security.
 

 

Step[3]: To view the logs go to given file path-→open the text file.
For example, go to "C:\logs.txt"

Logs will be collected like this with IP address of the system
