How to enable or disable other staff to add manual time entry to the tickets.

In service desk tickets now admin can enable or disable manual time entries for staff members to add to the tickets.

To enable or disable manual time entry by staff members to the tickets.

Step[1]:Go to--->Service Desk---->Admin panel--->Settings --->Tickets--->"Time Settings"

Step[2]:At the bottom of the "Time Settings (Global Setting)"

Select "Enable manuel time entry" check box to enable it.

 

When "manual time entry" check box is enabled changes will be reflected here

At the bottom of the ticket "Time Spent" tab. In that  "Add Work Time" option is available as shown below

Deselect "Enable manuel time entry" check box to disable it.

When "manual time entry" check box is disabled "Add Work Time" option  is not available as shown below

 

 

 

In order to enable or disable add manual time entry for other staff members except the staff to who the ticket is assigned

NOTE: If "manuel time entry" check box is disabled then "Enable work time entry for other staff members" is also disabled by default

 

Step[3]:At the bottom of the "Time Settings (Global Setting)"

Select "Enable work time entry for other staff members" check box to enable it.

 

When "Enable work time entry for other staff members" check box is enabled changes will be reflected here 

When this option is enabled the other staff members those who are not assigned to that ticket also can add their work time entry manually 

 

 

 

Deselect "Enable work time entry for other staff members" check box to disable it.

 

When it is disabled the staff member who is assigned to that ticket can only add their work time entry manually.

 

 

Click "Save changes" button.
