In Service desk, a new feature has been added in Scheduled Reports to get the "Detailed Report" of a contract.
We can schedule the reports by giving the appropriate time and date. This report can be sent to particular recipients which can be downloaded and saved for future use.
There are two kinds of the report- Basic Report and Detailed Report. A report gives the basic information about a contract, whereas a detailed report gives detailed information depending upon the billing period.
In this wiki, we are going to explain how to get the basic scheduled report and the detailed scheduled report of the contracts. With this, an admin can keep track of all the usages and details of the contract.
Step : In ITarian portal, go to "Applications" --> "Service Desk".
Step : In Service Desk page go to Admin Panel this page will direct you to Service Desk admin panel page and then go to "Reports"
Step : Clicking on "Reports" will display a drop-down list, choose "Contracts" from it.
Step : For scheduling a report, click the icon near Scheduled Reports.
Step : A dialog box appears, click the "Select Contract" option from the drop-down list. select the contract for which you want to get a detailed report.
Note: You can also directly click "Next" to get Basic scheduled report of all contracts.
Step : Select the checkbox "Get detailed report" and click "Next" to configure report send time, frequency, period and recipients.
Step : The various fields are explained here:
i) Time: Enter the time at which the report should to be generated and sent.
ii) Frequency: Select how often the report should be sent.
The options available are:
iii) Period: The report coverage period. The options available are:
iv) Recipients: Select which staff/agents, who should receive the report as scheduled.
After Choosing the necessary fields, click "save".
For Example, set a scheduled report every day at 9:30 for the report of the previous day.
Step : The report generation schedule will be saved and displayed at the bottom of report screen.
Note: The reports will be automatically sent to the email address of configured recipients as per the frequency selected.
Step : The sample report emailed to the recipients is as follows:
Step : To edit this scheduled reports, click the "Edit icon".
Step : A dialog box appears, where you can change Contract if needed and click "Next" to edit the scheduled report.
Step : To delete the scheduled report, click the "Delete icon".
Step : A dialog box appears "Are you sure you want to DELETE scheduled report". click Delete to delete the scheduled report.
